I couldn’t stand it anymore. The washing machine seemed to shake the whole house, rocketing up from the basement. We couldn’t sleep at night if we ever risked doing a load just before bed. It disrupted family and made it difficult for the kids to concentrate on homework. You just couldn’t relax or hear yourself think if there was laundry to be done.
I tried to fix it myself, shoving rags under the machine and between the walls. Not even duct tape seemed to work. Nothing seemed to soften the noise, and anything I could come up with was usually ripped to shreds within the first few washings.
Frustrated, I mentioned it to a friend at work. The laundry was piling up because laundry time could be done only at certain times which were difficult to schedule, and the frustration was getting to me. He said he had a similar problem with washing machine vibration. He tried everything before stumbling on Silent Feet. He said they softened the noise to a peaceful hum. Not only did he not need to buy another washing machine, but he said he assembled them in five minutes without any tools, and it cost him less than $80.
Was I ever amazed. For the price of a cheap appliance repair I had a solution. Although Silent Feet wasn’t available in many hardware stores, I easily found them on the Internet. I was able to order a variety of colors so I could perfectly match the appliance.
I applied them in a few easy steps. The next time I did the laundry, I really noticed a difference. The entire machine hummed softly. It put an end to my washing machine vibration. Now we could do our laundry in peace.
Silent Feet are guaranteed for life, so I know I will never have to worry about finding another solution any time soon. If they should wear out any time in the next ten years, I can send away for a new set. I am betting the feet last longer than the washing machine.
It was such a relief not to buy a new machine. With the way the economy has been rocked these days, it’s nice to be able to fix the washing machine for less than $80. I bet we get another decade out of that washing machine thanks to Silent Feet.
