Stack of 4 Ant-Walk Silent Feet washer pads

The compeition just doesn't stack up against the amazing results of Silent Feet pads.

3 years ago the first generation of Silent Feet were sent to the test labs.  Just a few months after that they made history as the number one anti-vibration pads for washing machines and dryers.  Today, we are proud to bring you the next generation of Silent Feet pads.  To engineer and build this latest appliance accessory we had to take our design back to the drawing board and totally re-created it.  We started with the same superior Sorbothane rubber as the primary vibration isolating material, but this time added a second top layer of stiff rubber.  This second layer of rubber provides a second wall of vibration resistance to the pads.  Then we added unique ridges to the top of each pad to help lock your washing machine in place.  After installation, the rubber ridges deform slightly allowing for a custom fit on every installation.  Finally we polished our molds and finished them with the highest grade of Teflon coatings to give every one of our products a clean, brilliant shine to accent the high gloss finish on modern washing machines.

Never before has there been an anti-vibration pad that offers all of these benefits and looks this stunning.  In fact, these new Silent Feet make all other washing machine pads look like, big ugly blocks of rubber.  Just like before, our Original Silent Feet offer easy installation and can be installed in most applications in less than 5 minutes.  Also like before, our Anti-Walk Silent Feet offer the best solution to eliminating unwanted appliance movement and “walking” without using any glue or adhesive.  All of this has been provided at the same great price as before.  And just like before, all of our washing machine pads carry a 10 Year Limited Warranty against defects and material failure.

The 2nd generation of Silent Feet pads makes our product line-up even better than before.

Still not convinced that we’ve outdone ourselves?  Then give our products the greatest test of all.  Install them in your home and if you’re not completely satisfied that they have solved your washing machine vibration and noise problem, simply return them.  We’re so convinced that you will love them that we still offer our 100% satisfaction guarantee.  Take this opportunity to try them out today.  You’ll see and hear the difference one the first load of laundry and on every load after that for years and years.

Consumer Reports Tests Silent Feet Anti-Vibration Pads

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

A posting on the Consumer Reports website has officially confirmed that Silent Feet as well as other anti-vibration pads

for washing machines are in the labs for testing. This marks the first official independent comparison of vibration isolation pads. The washing machine anti-vibration pad industry is only a few years old. The Vibration Solution was one of the first companies to really begin putting significant funding towards research and design on washing machine noise and vibration reduction. Prior to 2007, most R&D was done internally at major appliance manufactures like Maytag, Whirlpool, Samsung, LG and General Electric. However, as the front-loading washing machine market expanded, it became clear that the major manufactures were falling behind on providing noise and vibration protection products.

The Vibration Solution began product development in 2005 when the company discovered a loud consumer outcry for a real anti-vibration product that worked for washing machines.  Prior to the release of Silent Feet, consumers were forced to resort to a wide range of cleaver but not always effective alternatives.  Some examples included tennis balls cut in half, rolled up gym socks, cow and horse mats, anti-fatigue mats, rolled up towels and our favorite, sitting on the washing machine.  None of these really solved the problem of washing machine noise and vibration.  Our company, realizing that no regular rubber would provide enough vibration dampening, contacted Sorbothane. Sorbothane had already developed cutting-edge solutions for NASA, the U.S. Military and NASCAR.  Together our engineers developed Silent Feet Anti-Vibration Pads.  After 2 years of exhaustive testing to ensure that every Silent Feet pad would withstand years of use and abuse without degrading, Silent Feet were officially released.

Now, just a few years later and with a market now filling with knock off imitations, Silent Feet have officially been recognized by Consumer Reports as one of the leaders in the industry.  Check out the August issue of Consumer Reports Magazine and Consumer Reports Online for full details of the tests.

Samsung Vibration Reduction Technology Review

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Customers wanting to install their washing machine on a second level or nearer to their living spaces and closets have finally had their prayers answered with Samsung’s new Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) system.  Using a combination of suspension springs and supporting shock cylinders the system is designed to reduce the noise and vibration from unbalanced loads.

Samsung Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT)

“Many customers are first-time front load washing machine purchasers and typically are unaware of the vibration and noise issues of conventional front-loading machines.  Samsung has a compelling solution to this common annoyance for consumers and provides them with a stylish design to complement their homes,” said Jeff Armstrong, Senior Marketing Manager of Samsung Home Appliances.

Samsung claims that in tests involving unbalanced loads, Samsung’s VRT washing machines offered the lowest levels of vibration and noise from all the front-loading washers that they tested.  But, those tests were conducted internally by Samsung.  So, the question now is how does the technology really stack up for customers.  Samsung’s VRT technology has been available for almost 3 years so the results are finally available and it’s looking good for Samsung.

The Good

Form and function come together to create a stylish and very functional washing machine.  Many reviews have noted that even when washing large bedding and towels there was very little vibration and noise from their Samsung VRT washer.  Customers have even noted that that vibration reduction extends to washing pet beds, shoes, hockey gear, football pads and bath mats. (Source: Consumer Reports Reviews for Samsung VRT Washers)

Samsung VRT washing machines are offered in a variety of colors to add style and flair to your home.  Their currently color line includes Tango Red, Onyx Blue, Stratus Gray, and Neat White.  The color finish quality is excellent which means that you don’t have to hide your washer and dryer in a closet or utility anymore.  The washer and dryer are now quickly becoming a status symbol and a decor piece and Samsung has capitalized on this.

Superior wash quality has not been sacrificed.  Almost no complaints have been found for the cleaning abilities of Samsung VRT washers.  Whites

really do come out whiter and colors are gently washed preserving both the fabric and the brightness.  Stainless steel washer drums and steam cleaning options combined with SilverCare technology produce clean and fresh smelling clothes load after load.

The Bad

Like many front-loading washers, the cycle time on Samsung’s VRT machines is longer than top-loading machines.  This is a typical trade off that allows the washers to conserve water, clean more gently and leave clothes dryer following the spin cycle.  A typical wash cycle takes around 90 minutes.

Mold and mildew have plagued front-loading washers since they first arrived on the market.  It is important that you leave the washer door open following use to allow for excess moisture to evaporate.  It is also recommended to run a load on steam cycle with 1-2 cups of vinegar to clear up mold, mildew and mineral build-up once per month.

The price of these washing machines has also been significantly higher than similar front-loading units on the market.  But, the combination of features, quality, low vibration and reduced noise has kept the Samsung VRT washers at the top of the review charts for the past few years.  You get what you pay for and for an expected price of between $900 and $1500 their is a big decision to make before investing in a Samsung VRT washer.

Overall Review

Samsung has producing a winning combination of features in their Vibration Reduction Technology washing machines.  Customers looking for a  solid, reliable, practical and beautiful washing machine for a second floor laundry room or living space installation need look no further.  Samsung does note that their VRT system does not completely eliminate vibration and an anti-vibration pad like Silent Feet from The Vibration Solution are still a necessary add on.  If you’re looking for a new front-loading washing machine and you want the best appliance on the market, leave the LG, Maytag, Whirlpool and other brands at the store and bring home a Samsung VRT washing machine today.  3 years of positive customer feedback proves that it is a wise and worthwhile purchase to make.

The Complete Guide to Clothes Dryer Noise 2010

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

While it is well known that many washing machines are noisy and vibrate, not many products have been designed to help quiet your washer’s long term companion, the clothes dryer.  The modern tumble dryer handles larger loads and drys faster than previous versions thanks to numerous improvements in drying technologies.  However, little has been done to reduce the overall noise caused by the dryer.  An off balance or large load of clothes in the dryer can cause some seriously annoying levels of noise and thumping sounds.  Just like your washing machine, a dryer rests on stiff metal and plastic adjustable feet transmit this noise directly to the floor and then throughout your home.  But you don’t have to listen to all that racket any longer, because the same Silent Feet Anti-Vibration pads that work on your washer can also be installed on your dryer.

In addition to silencing the noise transfer to your home, Silent Feet will raise the height of your dryer making it easier to load and unload.  If you’ve installed Silent Feet under your washing machine, it’s best to get a second set for you dryer to keep them both at the same height.  Silent Feet and Anti-Walk Silent Feet will also help stop prevent walking and unwanted movement on dryers.  The following gas and electric dryers have been shown in laboratory tests to have high levels of noise and would benefit from the installation of a anti-vibration isolation pad like Silent Feet.

Eliminate Washing Machine Noise from Any Household Appliance

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

There is possibly nothing worse than living in a small apartment with constant noise protruding from your major appliances.

Your apartment can very well be misinterpreted for a train station if you’re not careful and resist the mesmerizing spiral of indifference.
Washing machine noise can be the worst of all and it is quite often that someone invites over a friend who notices the violent racket of the washer and dryer while the homeowner shrugs it off and professes that they don’t even notice it anymore.

Forcing your guests to simply become accustomed with the awful noise is not appreciated and conveys a message that you don’t like your guests to feel comfortable and that you would rather ignore problems than fix them.

In such cases as washing machine noise and other noises from major appliances, purchasing fantastic washing machine accessories that are now offered, such as Silent Feet with the groundbreaking technology of Sorbothane, is a quick, easy and inexpensive way to eliminate unwanted noise and vibration from any appliance.

The amazing material has been proven to absorb up to 94 per cent of vibration and bring the noises and humming to near elimination. You will instantly notice the difference and wonder how you ever got along without it.
Refrigerator noise, just like washing machine noise, is a cinch to eliminate just by sliding one foot in the four corners of the bottom of the appliance.

The same thing can be accomplished and from now on you will be able to run a load of laundry without any of your guests ever knowing.
After making an expensive investment in any major appliance, remember to buy the proper accessories to allow your appliance to run quieter and more efficiency and to avoid malfunctions and costly repairs in the future.

Silent Feet, featuring the patented technology of Sorbothane super vibration-absorbing materials, makes for the perfect house warming gift, first-time home buyer gift, moving gift or ‘just because’ gift.

They are now available in fun colors that can accentuate accent colors and help to carry the color scheme throughout the room. The add great color to otherwise bland appliances and they also add an inch of height, which is great for elevating appliances off the ground to make for easier sliding and moving.

Eliminate Washing Machine Vibration and All Major Appliance Noise

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

While you are designing your house, you want to make sure that you have quiet areas to rest in or do quite activities that involve concentration. You also want the entire décor scheme to offer an environment that let’s you relax and be yourself.

Owning loud appliances that rumble and rattle throughout the evening can severely interrupt the tranquility and calmness that your décor exudes.

Ignoring these annoying noises or passing them off as normal is not the smart thing to do. For one who is paying either a lot of money in rent or paying off a mortgage, you want to really create a sanctuary for yourself, away from distractions, and enjoy every moment of it. Washing machine vibration, refrigerator noise, generators and freezers can all be easily remedied with major appliance accessories, such as Silent Feet.

Simply sliding Silent Feet under your washer in all four corners will cure your washing machine vibration, making the noise almost non-existent. You will be astonished by the reduction of noise and you will wonder how you ever made it through your days with that constantly distracting vibration.
Washing machine vibration is just the beginning.

A strong enough machine accessory, such as Silent Feet, can handle any major appliance in your house. The dish washers are notorious for shaking about and the dryer tends to do the “dryer walk”, by slowly creeping forward with every cycle vibration.

Silent Feet can be the cure for both of these scenarios.

Note that, if you plan on installing a dish washer in the near future, plan for one more inch of space, as the feet elevates the machine.

In addition to solving your vibrating problems, the feet also serve as a wonderful way to make your house look organized and flawless. Now available in an array of colors, it is a fantastic way to emphasize accents colors and help to enforce base colors in an otherwise white or plain-looking room.

No matter what kind of house or apartment you live in, washer and dryer accessories are the perfect solution to a variety of problems. Perfect for any scenario or household so you don’t have to torture yourself with ringing and banging noises ever again.

Eliminate Washing Machine Noise

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Washing machines naturally produce a certain amount of noise; they are, after all, an appliance with numerous parts working together to produce a clean load of laundry. In some cases, however, the washing machine noise can reach a level that is simply disruptive.

The sound of the components clanking and grinding together can make it impossible for someone to concentrate in the other room, or enjoy a television show. In extreme cases, it might even make it difficult to have a normal conversation without making it necessary for people to virtually yell at each other over the racket coming from the laundry room.

It’s possible to eliminate this noise without buying a whole new washing machine, which can be quite an expensive purchase. Beyond that, buying the accessories that can help with noise is not an expensive endeavor. In relation to what a new appliance will cost, washing machine pads are quite affordable.

Washing machine noise can be annoying, but it doesn’t always indicate that a washing machine isn’t working properly. A machine might still be able to clean clothes, but if it makes so much noise while doing so that everyone in the family wants to flee the area, investing in accessories is definitely a smart idea.

One of the best things about washing machine accessories is that they’re very easy to use and install. No extra equipment or tools are required, and you won’t have to hire anyone to come to your home to help you with the process.

All you have to do is thoroughly clean under the washing machine, lift up the back and front, slide the washing machine pads underneath, and then shove it back into place. The next load of laundry you complete will be markedly more quiet.

Washing machine noise is caused by vibration, and this vibration, if it’s severe, can cause a washing machine to “walk.” This means that the vibration builds momentum that can propel an appliance across the room.

Much like the noise itself, this doesn’t indicate that a washing machine isn’t working properly. It can become annoying or harmful, however, if a washing machine moves so much that it starts to bump into other fixtures in the room.

Accessories can also fix this problem. A washing machine pad will help keep the appliance in place as it simultaneously makes it less noisy so that the rest of the house isn’t affected by the simple act of cleaning some clothes.

Stop Washing Machine Vibration

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

There is always some component of noise involved in the process of doing laundry, but in some cases, it can become almost unbearable. Often, it’s caused by washing machine vibration. This occurs when a washing machine has parts that become lose over time; it’s most prevalent in older appliances that have been used multiple times by large families or in apartment complexes where the washer and dryer area is communal and used by numerous tenants.

If a washing machine if far away from living areas, the vibration is typically innocuous; however, if it’s near to a family room or dining room, it can be a source of frustration as people would like a quiet place to relax when they get home.

Washing machine vibration can also cause a washing machine to “walk” across a room. This is because the vibration has reached such a high magnitude that the machine builds a momentum and shifts in its location.

Again, this can be a harmless occurrence that’s simply a result of owning an older appliance. It can cause problems, however, if the shifts cause other furniture in the room damage. A washing machine that moves is also typically quite noisy while doing so, and this can be an inconvenience to people in the surrounding area who are trying to concentrate or enjoy a television program or movie.

Thankfully, it’s easy to solve the problem of excess noise produced by this vibration. Washing machine accessories have been developed that can prevent the noise from becoming unbearable. Slipping pads underneath the feet of the washing machine, for example, can stop it from moving and can also cut down on some of the noise that’s produced.

When someone makes the decision to stop washing machine vibration, they are also deciding to keep their appliances for a while longer as opposed to going out to buy new ones. This is a financially sound choice. New appliances are very expensive, and it might take a great deal of financial planning to work that kind of expense into a budget.

If accessories can solve the problem at a much lower cost, then the purchase of new equipment can be delayed for up to a few years. If buying a new washing machine doesn’t fit into someone’s personal finances, it’s a relief to know that the simple and cost-effective purchase of some accessories will allow them to continue using their appliances without the additional noise and headache.

Washer and Dryer Accessories Can Bring Peace to Your Home

Saturday, December 26th, 2009

Home is usually considered to be a place of solace. After a long week at work, most people want to come home on Friday night, sit back, and put up their feet for some much-needed relaxation. However, it’s hard to relax if there is a constant, annoying noise in the background – especially if it’s caused by a simple household chore such as doing your laundry.

Excess vibration caused by washer and dryer machines can cause extreme frustration if someone is trying to watch a television show or listen to an album, but can’t fully enjoy it due to the rattling in an adjacent room. Therefore, they might want to investigate purchasing washer and dryer accessories to stop the noise and prevent them from becoming agitated within the confines of their living room.

Most of the noise caused by washer and dryer machines is due to vibration. Parts can become old or loose, and they start to rattle against each other. In extreme cases, the appliances may even appear to be “walking” across the room.

This means that they are slightly shifting in location because the vibration is causing a momentum that propels them in one direction or another. Not only does this cause a disruptive noise, but it also can cause problems if they’re bumping into other important things in the room or possibly causing other pieces of furniture to shift or become damaged.

Luckily, it is quite easy to install washer and dryer accessories, and it doesn’t require any special tools or equipment. After the bottom of the appliance is cleaned off, all one had to do it slip them under the feet of the appliance. Usually, it’s easiest to start with the back feet and then move to the front.

After they are secured to the washer or dryer, then the appliance can be easily moved back into its original position. The addition of these simple accessories will markedly reduce the amount of noise that is produced by old appliances.

Sometimes, even if a washer or dryer is making lots of noise, it isn’t necessary to buy entire new machines since they can be quite expensive. People can bypass that option by investing in washer and dryer accessories, and their appliances can last up to a few years longer without also giving their owners a headache due to the excess noise they make.

These accessories are an excellent investment in addition to new parts to help the machines function properly, because even if washer and dryer machines are doing their jobs, if they’re making an excess amount of noise, the mere act of running them can be quite annoying to those in search of peace and quiet.
